Well I haven’t seen you in years but you drop in my mind every once in a while
to remind me of what I could have become if I had not left when I was so young
I think of the stories the untold, adventures and games of being brave and bold
and these memories fade as time goes by, of innocent first kisses and being ever so shy

I am too young to sing about my younger days
but I’m young enough to not let these memories fade away

And sure, we all move on, we find new friends to sing our songs
I might have changed and you might have to
we’ve grown apart and there is nothing we can do

But if by some chance this song reaches one of you
